About Scott

He is an award winning painter, nominated in 2009 as finalist in the prestigious Tattersall's Landscape Art Prize, alongside some of Australia's finest landscape painters, including 10 finalists from the Archibald, Wynne, Sulman and Dobell Art Prizes.

Scott moved to Far North Queensland from Brisbane, to take up painting full-time in late 2009.

This year Scott was selected as the 2010 Undara Experience Artist in Residence at Undara Volcanic National Park.

As a self taught artist, growing up on the Sunshine Coast, Scott's first love is the sea, and his seascapes are much in demand.

He first received attention for his portrait work, winning the emerging artist award at caloundra arts festival in 1981.

Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Art in Fine Art from Queensland College of Art, Griffith University in 1994.

He is the founder of The Cairns Stuckists.
Stuckism (est. 1999) anti-anti-art, is an International art movement, the first Remodernist art group.
